Load in on Friday is busy. Teams may unload directly in front of the Surtees Centre. The driver must remain with the vehicle, and vehicles must be moved immediately when finished unloading. Buses and trailers are to park in the back half of Lot #9.
Teams are asked to park their smaller vehicles in Lot #5, (ie NOT trailers or buses) behind the Surtees Centre, which will be marked with FIRST signs. A marked path from the parking lot will direct team members down outdoor stairs to the main entrance. Team Members requiring level access to the Surtees Centre from the parking lot may use the Volunteer and VIP entrance from Lot 5. Should Lot 5 fill up, additional parking is available in lot 1 or lot 9.
Teams should continue to park in assigned lots above on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, on Sunday, a portion of Lot 4 immediately in front of the Surtees Centre, is reserved for teams to park one vehicle per team, such as a bus or truck and trailer. This will allow teams to load out throughout the day as they see fit. Additional buses and trailers must remain in lot 9, and other vehicles in the assigned lots. As with load-in, a driver must remain with any vehicle parked on the road in front of the Surtees Centre.

You will also receive your Volunteer T-shirt and anything else you need specific to your role. They will give you instructions on where the Volunteer Lounge is located and who you will be reporting to for the event and receive any further training from. Finally, we wanted to inform all our volunteers that masks are mandatory for all attendees at any in-person indoor FIRST Robotics Canada events held in Ontario.
