Venue and Parking

There have been some big changes to our venue, with the new addition of the Toldo Lancer Centre attached to the St. Denis Centre building. We’ll still be in the St. Denis Centre, and will use the same entrance we always have. We will have signage to indicate our entrance.

Parking Instructions
Free parking on Friday March 31 in lots outlined in red circles on map only: Stadium (G), HK (H), St. Denis (U). No need to display a pass or pay at any meters/machines in these lots. Free parking on Saturday

April 1 in all UWindsor-owned lots (including those circled in red and blue on the map). No need to display a pass or pay at any meters/machines. Parking will be in high demand due to the UWindsor Open House. The parking garage on Wyandotte between California and Sunset will also be open until 7pm on Saturday.

Note the lot directly east of the HK lot (on the corner of College and California) is not owned by the University of Windsor and is NOT free.

Please park team trailers in the Stadium lot (G).

Food and Team Eating Spaces

Food will be available for purchase in the new Toldo Lancer Centre which is attached to the St. Denis Centre. There is a Starbucks outlet which will also be selling food items such as sandwiches, salads, baked goods, in the Toldo Lancer Centre Lancer Commons (the main lobby), as well as a concession stand selling snacks, drinks, and hot dogs on the 2nd floor of the Toldo Lancer Centre. Starbucks is debit/credit only, the concession stand accepts cash and credit/debit.

There is a McDonald’s across the street from the venue on College and Huron Church Rd., and many restaurants a short distance from the venue. Teams can make their own plans for team lunches beyond purchases from the concessions in the venue. We will have picnic tables set up behind the stands on the far side of the venue for team use, we ask that teams do not eat in the pits.  Please eat and move on, so other teams can have access to this space as well. Enjoy!!

Team Load-In

  • Teams May Load-in any time from 2:30pm to 4:30pm on March 30th, with pits opening at 4:30. Click on the link above for the full schedule.
  • Load in will be on a first come first serve basis, just line up on the west side of the venue, 2555 College Ave., Windsor, Ontario . Each team MUST bring maximum 5 team representatives (1 must be an adult) to off load your trailer/car and take items to PIT
  • Pack for quick load/unload – large bins/NO loose items, bring dollies to help you transport your items.
  • CHECK IN with load in crew by the doors, that you have arrived.  You can check in your team at Pit Admin after 4:30 when pits open.  You can set up your pit and get organized.  Once pits open at 4:30, you can work on your robot and get it inspected to prepare to participate in filler matches, once the field is up and running.  They will announce when that happens.

Volunteer Check-In and Registration

When you arrive at the event there will be a Volunteer Check-In Desk for you to meet the Volunteer Coordinator to welcome you and give you supplementary information to the emails you have received from them. You will also receive your Volunteer T-shirt and anything else you need specific to your role. They will give you instructions on where the Volunteer Lounge is located and who you will be reporting to for the event and receive any further training from. Finally, we wanted to inform all our volunteers that masks are mandatory for all attendees at any in-person indoor FIRST Robotics Canada events held in Ontario. You can view our full COVID policy here if you require more information.
