ONT DISTRICT WINDSOR ESSEX GREAT LAKES EVENT
Enjoy this event from home! FIRST Robotics Canada events are live-streamed to Twitch.
Venue and Parking
There have been some big changes to our venue, with the new addition of the Toldo Lancer Centre attached to the St. Denis Centre building. We’ll still be in the St. Denis Centre, and will use the same entrance we always have. We will have signage to indicate our entrance.
Parking Instructions
Free parking on Friday March 31 in lots outlined in red circles on map only: Stadium (G), HK (H), St. Denis (U). No need to display a pass or pay at any meters/machines in these lots. Free parking on Saturday
April 1 in all UWindsor-owned lots (including those circled in red and blue on the map). No need to display a pass or pay at any meters/machines. Parking will be in high demand due to the UWindsor Open House. The parking garage on Wyandotte between California and Sunset will also be open until 7pm on Saturday.
Note the lot directly east of the HK lot (on the corner of College and California) is not owned by the University of Windsor and is NOT free.
Please park team trailers in the Stadium lot (G).
Food and Team Eating Spaces
Food will be available for purchase in the new Toldo Lancer Centre which is attached to the St. Denis Centre. There is a Starbucks outlet which will also be selling food items such as sandwiches, salads, baked goods, in the Toldo Lancer Centre Lancer Commons (the main lobby), as well as a concession stand selling snacks, drinks, and hot dogs on the 2nd floor of the Toldo Lancer Centre. Starbucks is debit/credit only, the concession stand accepts cash and credit/debit.
There is a McDonald’s across the street from the venue on College and Huron Church Rd., and many restaurants a short distance from the venue. Teams can make their own plans for team lunches beyond purchases from the concessions in the venue. We will have picnic tables set up behind the stands on the far side of the venue for team use, we ask that teams do not eat in the pits. Please eat and move on, so other teams can have access to this space as well. Enjoy!!
