FIRST Robotics Canada, in partnership with Seneca, is hosting the 5th annual Ontario Innovation Celebration. The focus of this event will be to bring 18 of the most innovative solutions to this year’s CITY SHAPERS theme together in one location, to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges. The judges will then select the three (3) most innovative solutions to represent Ontario in the Global Innovation Award competition, the winner of which will receive $20,000 to make their innovation a reality!
Leading up to our Ontario event, teams will have the opportunity to receive professional coaching from industry experts in innovation, will be trained in how to make a professional sales pitch, and then will share their ideas in their official pitch to the judges.
Teams for the event will be selected for this event from three sources:
- 7 teams from the East Ontario Championships, ranked by the judges in the Innovation portion of the project rubric
- 7 teams from the West Ontario Championships, ranked by the judges in the Innovation portion of the project rubric
- 4 teams (representing “wild cards”) from the FIRST LEGO League Qualifying system. These 4 teams will be selected after being nominated by their qualifying tournament judges, submitting the form below, and being selected by a panel of judges to be one of the four “wild card” spots for the event on February 22nd.
REGISTRATION
Teams will be invited by e-mail to register.

PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
This experience will be slightly different than a typical FIRST LEGO League event. We have prepared the following Presentation Guidelines for you to help you prepare/augment/adjust your FIRST LEGO League Project skit as needed. Remember, the rubric will be driving the assessment of your team so focus on those areas.
