FIRST Canada's Commitment to Accessibility and Inclusion

FIRST Robotics Canada is committed to accessibility and inclusion for all. We understand that individuals with different abilities have unique perspectives and can bring valuable ideas and innovations. We strive to ensure that our products and services are designed with the needs of diverse populations. We are grateful for our partnerships and collaborations that align with our vision to bring our programs to all kids and youth across Canada. FIRST Robotics Canada’s commitment to accessibility and inclusion reflects our belief that a diverse and inclusive society leads to more robust and innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Inclusive Programming

FIRST Robotics Canada programs at partnership hospitals and organizations across Ontario offer a unique opportunity for children to learn and explore the field of coding and robotics. These programs are tailored to suit the specific needs and abilities of children of all backgrounds and aptitudes, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for learning. We understand that every detail counts, and that’s especially true when it comes to promoting diversity, accessibility and inclusion. Even in the mini-figures we try to ensure that mobility devices, different skin tones and varied hairstyles reflect the diversity of our world in everything we do.

Educational Outreach

We have developed a comprehensive plan to coordinate and facilitate events and initiatives that educate our community about accessibility and provide practical tips on how to make events, online properties, and programs more accessible.
