The Hour of Code is an engaging and free introduction to computer science. It offers enjoyable activities and informative videos for learners of all skill levels. This year, the celebration of coding and AI is endorsed by a vast network of over 400 partners, involves 20,000 educators, and benefits from the contributions of 58,000 volunteers.

Consent for Participation

By submitting this form, I consent to the participation of my child, who is being registered, in a one-hour-long coding class hosted by FIRST Robotics Canada, scheduled for December 6, 2023.

2. Release of Claims:
In consideration for allowing my child to participate in the coding class, I release and forever discharge FIRST Robotics Canada, its divisions, subsidiaries, affiliated and related companies, partners and associates, and all of their respective agents, partners, employees, representatives, shareholders, officers, directors, successors, and assigns (collectively referred to as the "Releases"), from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, actions, or causes of action, whether known or unknown, whether at law or in equity. This release includes claims that may have been caused by the negligence or gross negligence of any of the Releases.

3. Image Use Consent:
I consent to the use of my child's likeness, voice, appearances, and sound recordings in connection with the abovementioned event. I hereby grant FIRST Robotics Canada the irrevocable right to use any motion pictures or still photographs, sound recordings, or video footage taken of my child during the event without any obligation to pay additional compensation. This permission includes the right to use these materials for various purposes, such as radio, television, electronic transmission, advertising, promotion, or commercial purposes. We will not identify your child by name.

4. Conduct and Behavior:
I understand that the session instructors reserve the right to dismiss or restrict my child's participation in the event if my child's conduct or behaviour poses a threat to their safety or the safety of other participants, is disruptive, or is otherwise deemed inappropriate by the session instructor.

I am the parent or legal guardian of the registrant and have read and understood the terms and conditions outlined in this consent form. I willingly provide my consent for my child, who is being registered, to participate in the coding class conducted by FIRST Robotics Canada on December 6, 2023.
